As a multicultural family, most of our extended family are living around the world. We have family members living in Taiwan, a few countries in Europe, and Brazil. There is no doubt that The Novel Coronavirus Pandemic does create concern for us starting from the very beginning in January 2020.
Currently, the Spanish government is set to declare a 15-day national lockdown to battle Coronavirus. #stayathome to stop the virus from spreading to the elderly or whoever is vulnerable to the COVID-19. Therefore, It is a critical time to stay connected with the family and keep them informed with the current status.
We hear stories around the world that Asians are facing discrimination and violence amid coronavirus outbreak. Asians throughout the world have been the subject of reported harassment and attacks. One thing I would like to point out is that after moving to Spain, I have not experienced any inappropriate or racist remarks until this moment. On the other hand, I was able to witness a society that shows unity and heartwarming gesture to support the country to move on.
Under the situation of being lockdown, we lose a little freedom to move around the city, our public life has been suspended. Social activities are banned across the nations. Schools are canceled; it requires us to adjust our lifestyles drastically. This is a strange period for everyone. The Novel Coronavirus Pandemic teaches us one thing is that the fresh air has become a luxury good at this critical moment of our life. Perhaps this is our universe echoing to us that Mother Nature is taking its much-needed break.
Two weeks before the Novel Coronavirus outbreaks, I was able to visit Aitona. If you are visiting Catalonia in March, Aitona should be on your list.
Most of the people heard of the Keukenhof Holland tulips park in Netherland or the lavender fields in Provence France. But not many are aware of The Peach Tree Pink Blossom route in Aitona Catalonia.
Aitona is located in Lleida. During the early Spring, the peaches and apricots begin to blossom, fields are flooded with striking pink and burst into a unique color on the Catalonia land. These scenes were so mesmerizing that it was part of the filming location directed by Carles Porta in the movie of Segon Origen.
One of the best ways to explore and enjoy the sweetly-scented flowery field is to take a good hike. You can enjoy the panorama view of an exceptional landscape that shows the peach blossoms in the surroundings.
Hiking tout usually begin with the highest vantage point where you can have a wide view of the beautiful landscape. Then you can continue to the most beautiful peach tree pink blossom route accompanied by your local guide with detailed explanations and mostly conclude by a visit to all Aitona’s historical sites.
