Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona
Parc de la Ciutadella, also called Ciutadella Park, is located in the heart of Barcelona that connects four different neighborhoods: El Born, The Olympic Village, Barceloneta, and Arc de Triomf.
Ciutadella Park, constructed in the 19th Century, is considered one of the most important parks in Barcelona. The Park offers vast grass areas where visitors can relax and enjoy a day.

Things to do in Parc de la Ciutadella
The Arc de Triomf
Architect Josep Vilaseca built the Arc de Triomf i Casanovas as the 1888 Universal Exhibition gateway. Ciutadella Park is close to the Arc de Triomf, if you enter the Park from the Arc de Triomf metro station, you will walk through the Barcelona version of Arc de Triomphe.
Barcelona Zoo & The museum of Zoology Barcelona
Barcelona Zoo is located inside Parc de la Ciutadella, and it is a beautiful place to spend a few hours with children. There’s a large playground inside the Zoo for kids to enjoy after seeing all the animals. In general, animal diversity is excellent, and the Zoo is fun for all ages.
Besides the Barcelona Zoo, the museum of zoology Barcelona is also located in the Park; it is full of stuffed animals and skeletons.
Enjoy a picnic in the Park.
All you need is a blanket on the ground to soak up the sun, enjoy the music and lively energy around.

Take a Walk Around the Park
Walking is something easy to do, and walking Parc de Ciutadella is usually pleasant. Around the Park, you will also find several spaces for children to walk and run around, letting out the energy.
Highly recommend finding the lake in the center of the Park, you can hire a boat for €6/30 minutes for two people. Around the lake, you will find a lovely fountain and a few small kiosks for drinks.
There are several different spots in the park to enjoy various kinds of activities. Overall, the park is a place to practice a healthy and outdoor lifestyle. It is certainly a low budget and fun for all ages.
